Dr. Maritza Bollain y Goytia, DACM, LAc is a licensed acupuncturist practicing in Los Angeles, California. She completed her doctoral studies in Clinical Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Health and Science and her Master’s studies in Traditional and Oriental Medicine at Emperor’s College in December 2020. Dr. Maritza obtained her B.A. in Biology at the University of Chicago in 2014 where she also acquired experience in the research fields of neuroscience and psychopharmacology.

As a clinical practitioner of Chinese Medicine, she is dedicated to supporting her patient’s journey to optimal health. Dr. Maritza implements Medical Qi-Gong, Tai-Chi, Brainspotting Therapy and NLP approaches to her clinical practice. Through the usage of these modalities that support the integration of body and mind, patients experience coherence of the physiological and spiritual components essential to the healing journey. Dr. Maritza bases her practice on the fundamental belief that in the alignment of mind, body, and spirit, one can awaken the body’s innate capacity to heal leading to the maximum expression of self.
